Dongpyo is a popular South Korean singer eho happens to be one of the bright talents signed under DSP Media. He was born on the 9th day of September in 2009 in Yeongdeok-gun, a suburb of North Gyeongsang in South Korea.

Despite the fact that his music talent is what many knows him for, the youngster is also a Good dancer and has displayed that on several occasions especially when he hit the stage to perform.

What is Dongpyo Real Name?

Known very well as Donpyo, That actually wasn’t his birth name even though it was coined from his real name. His birth name is Son Don Pyo but as you can judge for yourself, he combined the Don and Pyo to get his stage name out of it which he has successfully been using since his debut. 

His Rise to the Top

There’s no doubt many got talents especially when it comes to music but the biggest problem is who exactly is going to identify the talent in them and bring it to the limelight.

In recent days, it takes the help of several reality shows for passionate upcoming musicians to showcase their talent to the world. 

Pyo also got the chance and participated in the hit Survival Produce X 101 where he earned many recognitions after ranking 6th on the final Episode. 

His position on the program earned him a spot to debut as a member of the then boy group X1, however luck wasn’t much on his side by then when news hit the public that the X1 group has been disband. 

While with X1 he debuted his first Mini Album dubbed Quantum Leap on the 27th day of August in 2019. 

His high hopes of becoming an instant success in the music game at that time was shuttered when the agency representing members of the X1 group announced that the group has been disbanded. 

The group’s disbandment came due to being unable to reach an agreement after a 101 Vote Manipulation controversy which happened on January 6 2020.

Dongpyo Debut with MIRAE

Just after X1’s disbandment, Dongpyo was quickly snatched by MIRAE and at this point, he has already showcased his talent to the public so all it require was to work on his music projects. 

He debuted with his then new group when he released another Mini Album dubbed Killa on 17th March 2020.
